ASFS Art in
the Classroom has teamed up with the Arlington Pediatric Center (APC) to
brighten the lives of children. APC
is a not-for-profit medical center for children living in poverty in Arlington. Each year, ASFS frames artwork produced
by ASFS students through the Art in the Classroom program and hangs it on the
walls of APC. The artwork provides
a much-needed burst of color and beauty to the center’s interior,
brightening up the environment for both the children and medical
personnel.
It is our
goal this year to provide artwork from two different Art in the Classroom
projects each quarter to be hung on the walls of APC. If you are planning an Art in the
Classroom project that you think will result in artworks that would be good for
APC, please e-mail Leslie Spitalney at leslie@spitalney.com or Heidi Daniel at heidi@hcdaniel.com.
